The Effects of Electromagnetic Fields on the Level of MDA That's Known As A Carsinogenic Compound, in the Rats' Brain Tissue and Plasma

Objective: Although people do not feel, but usually exposed to t he electromagnetic fields; itsbiological effects of have been commonly reported . The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of electromagnetic field on MDA which is considered to be a carcinogenic compound for organism.

Material and Methods: 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80 and 100 mGauss magnetic fields rage were consitituted to the cage of the eight experimental group rats, which are used in the study. The broad band magnetometer were used for measurement of magnetic rage. The rats were anaesthesised by halotane and anticoagulated blood samples were collected by intracardiac way. Heparined blood samples were centrifuged and plasma were taken and MDA levels were studied. Brain tissues which was taken by craniotomy were homogenised using of 150 mM cold KCl and MDA concentrations were calculated. The results were summaried by using of measurement data (mean ± SD).

Results: When magnetic fields rage were increased, MDA levels were also increased. The results were statistically different between each groups (P<0.01).

Conclusion: Effection of biological systems by magnetic fields are still under discussion and which markers are direct propotional for health and what threshold for these markers. In the study, effection of this results were set up in lab by measurements levels concretely.
