Quality Management Process in Forensic Toxicological Analysis according to Occupational |

Aim: The entire analytical process in forensic toxicology is defined in medical laboratory regulation,
standarts and guidances. The aim of this study is to evaluate the suitability of forensic toxicological
analysis to the quality management process according to different occupational groups.
Materials and Methods: The questionnaires applied to 141 institution personel from different
occupational were divided into 3 groups according to their tasks. In analyze of the data was used to
SPSS 16.0. Mean of the groups were compared with Kruskal-Wallis test and ANOVA.
Results: In the questionnaires, the knowledge level of the institution personnel about forensic
toxicological analysis was found the lowest in the other group. According to the task of the personnel of
the institution, knowledge level competencies could not be calculated in all occupational groups. Of this
analysis in the quality management process no communication problems between institution personnel
in the hospital, continuous reporting of developments in business and processes and adequacy of
related to perception levelsapplied the in-service training were found to be highest in other group.
Conclusion: Institutional personnel with different occupational specialties take part in forensic
toxicological analysis. The knowledge level of the institution personnel about forensic toxicological
analysis was found the lowest in the other group. Since the workplace expectations of the other group
are lower than the institutional personel with occupational expertise, the perception levels about of the
quality management practices were higher.
