Keywords: H-index, citation, bibliometric criteria |
The bibliometric H-index is proposed by Hirsch in the evaluation of an individual researcher for his
productivity and the apparent scientific impact. Such indicators are important since they provide
quantitative data that influences the distribution of financial support. Research area, researcher/
research age independence and incorporating data only about articles are among major disadvantages
of H-index, Thus, an index measuring scientific value of a researcher should be more objective when
misleading points are well-defined.
