Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate of accuracy of the immuno-turbidimetric method.
Material and Methods: Patients (n=160) were tested with the D-Dimer assay with a STalia ® D-DI (D-dimer) (Diagnostica Stago, Asnieres, France). D-dimer plasma concentration were measured with the STalia ® D-Di and our reference method was the ELISA technique (Asserachrom®, Diagnostica Stago, Asnieres, France). The Stalia® D-Di is a semi-automated system for the quantification of D-dimer using an immunoturbidimetrik method incorporating a suspension of latex micropartiles coated with two different monoclonal antibodies specifically targeted against human D-dimer fragmants.
Results: The correlation between the results of STalia D-Di and Asserachrom D-Di evaluation of accuracy was acceptable (y=0.913x+ 0.077, r=0.970, Sy/x= 0.24).
Conclusion: STalia D-Di was analytically found to be a proper method to evaluate D-Di.
